I teach mindfulness-based deep relaxation practices to cope with pain & stress.
Specifically, I teach Yoga Nidra, which I like to call a "Yoga Nap" because the word nidra means sleep.
The best part? You don't have to sit tall and hold a pose—you can be lying down or even in a chair.
However, it is actually a sleep-like state that allows for deep rejuvenation, insights, and healing.
I have been trained in iRest® Yoga Nidra, which was adapted originally for veterans by Dr. Richard Miller, a clinical psychologist. Due to the growing body of scientific evidence supporting this method, it is being implemented nation-wide by VA Hospitals, the US Department of Defense, homeless centers, addiction facilities, and pain management facilities.
I also offer a workshop on the deep relaxation practice of yoga nidra, specifically for pain management at studios or events.
